Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Another winner from Le Creuset
I own a couple of Le Creusets, but this is now my favorite pot. If you had to own one pot, this should be it. I love the width, and use it for stir-fry, risotto, chicken stews, and to mix pasta. It retains the heat very well, so you use less energy. Clean-up is very easy, just soak overnight with warm soapy water. The only con is its weight.
I bought it from TJMaxx for 100$ less than Amazon price...so keep your eye out at TJMaxx or Marshals, and grab one quick if you see it, you will never ... Read More

Once you own a Le Creuset you will want a few more.It goes from stove to oven to table.Easy to clean and cooks food to perfection. This is not my first Le Creuset and its not my last.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - It's like this...
You know when you pay a lot of money for something and when you're driving home with it or the email confirmation comes thru that you now own it you kind of say "Yikes, what did I just do?". That's what happens when you drop several hundred dollars on this pot. But then the magic begins and you soon realize, wow, this could be the best cookware investment I ever made. Everthing comes out, well, perfect. Cleans in a snap. Looks like you even paid more for it than you actually did. Just buy it.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Right size and shape
I cooked short libs roast, whole chicken roast, beef chuck roast with this dutch oven, all of them were around 5-6 pounds. All the recipes are from "All About Braising" and they are all excellent! As a matter of fact,a whole chicken braised in a pot is very new to me but the chicken was very moist and tasted better than the one roasted in a roasting pan.

The previous review about size helped me land a right decision a lot. We are only two but love to have some leftovers as these slow ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - As good as its reputation
I was a little concerned over complaints about Le Creuset's weight--yes, you can really get a good upper body workout schlepping it around your kitchem--and problems with clean up. I use Bon Ami and it came clean after every time (18 stovetop and oven uses, so far) I've cooked with it. Yes, it is indeed pricey, but how many reading this have spent hundreds on cheap, shoddy imitations--cutlery and cookware come to mind--when just paying for quality the first time would have saved so much? Save up, do ... Read More
