Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great yogurt maker!
I had no idea what a good yogurt maker would include, and bought this one mostly because it came with glass jars and because it was a reasonable price.I have been very pleased with the results.I don't even boil the milk, but do add 1/2 cup dry milk powder (I think it was the instruction manual that advised doing that for thicker, unboiled yogurt).I have also been able to "tweak" the recipe, using 3-1/2 cups milk to 1/2 cup starter to make the perfect amount of yogurt to fit in a commercial ... Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Used this yogurt maker weekly for 4 yrs
I highly recommend this yogurt maker: it works great and reliably and we've used it weekly for the last 4 years. The glass jars and plastic lids are durable and easily go through the dishwasher. I scald 5 cups of milk in a large glass measuring cup in the microwave, let it cool to warm andI use a commercial yogurt starter (just for convenience). If I want thicker yogurt I just add 1/4 cup of nonfat dry milk powder. You could get the model that has the automatic shut-off but I've always just placed ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - No frills, functional & versatile
Having borrowed my Mom's yogurt maker for an extended period, I knew what home made yogurt tasted like and that I wanted to start making it again.I chose this particular model because of the glass jars and the central warming area.(My Mom's had individual compartments that were hard to clean.)

No it doesn't have a timer, but without the ability to cool the yogurt a timer is superfluous.Based on a review for a different brand of machine, I looked around my kitchen and found a glass ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Euro Cuisine Yogurt Maker - YM80
I've used the yogurt maker a few times and it makes a good product. Still experimenting with skim and 2% milk which seems to make a thinner yogurt. I don't miss the "timer". I do write a note to remind me when to unplug unit and put jars in the frig. It's comforting to control the ingredients of at least this food.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great Yogurt Maker- Does exactly what you want!
This is a great yogurt maker! Easy to set up and use. You can make six different flavors (you want to keep one plain for your next batch!) of yogurt and you CAN sweeten them before cooking! Be careful with the milk, however! I burnt my first batch! My second one I microwaved until it was boiling tempurature and it worked great! I only gave this product four stars because it does not have an alarm set on it. It's ten-dollar-more cousin, YM100 does, however. It's fine for me, though, because I make some ... Read More
