Although some otaku (hardcore fans) have complained about the editing of the English dub of the popular ninja fantasy-adventure Naruto, the Uncut Box Set reveals the edits were quite minor. There's a little more blood in some of the fight scenes, and the opening and closing titles are the Japanese originals. In episode 3, Naruto's stomach problems are presented more vividly, and Kakashi delivers a more explicit jab to Naruto's butt in episode 4. More revealing differences turn up in the subtitles: In the English dub, Naruto declares he wants to become a great ninja so the whole village "will start treating me like somebody important"; in the original, it's "will acknowledge my existence." The three-disc Uncut Box, which includes the bound storyboards for Episode 8 (in Japanese), is a good buy. The first 13 episodes include Naruto's graduation from the Ninja Academy and his assignment to a team with Sakura (on whom he nurtures a crush) and Sasuke, his arch-rival. The reluctant trio begins to learn how to work as a team on their first mission under the supervision of Kakashi. The exotic jutsu (ninja techniques), stylized fights and slapstick comedy will keep any Naruto fan happy. - Perhaps the workst anime series ever.
This has to be one of the worst anime series I've seen, and I've seen 240 anime series.Now that's saying a lot.
Ok now on to some of the things that made it so bad.First is the so called story that's supposed to take place I guess two hundred years ago.Yet they have tv and radio, so when the heck is this anime supposed to take place.Now as for the story which makes no lick of sense to me revolves around Naruto, Sakura,and Sasuke on a journey to become the best ninjas.Which ... but the box set is utterly lacking. Naruto as a series is a great anime, one of Japan's greatest, but the box sets divides the series up into twelve episodes each, which is a huge rip-off. Anime should always be divided by seasons, like the Bleach box set. Oh well, I guess this s my first and last purchase of a Naruto box set. [...]. Here's a hint; Naruto has 209 dubbed episodes. Divide that by twelve and you get 16, though they'll probably release a 17th for the last episodes and some special features. ... Read More

The box was in good condition and the disc were not scratched. All the special items were there as the seller promised.

Naruto is a base on the manga series, which are great. The TV series are even better. For everyone who likes Japanese anime and the ninja culture this is the thing for you, or if you just want something you can enjoy. I recommend all of the Uncut Box set volume.
