If you want a Unix-style mouse with 3 buttons on top instead of 2 buttons and a scroll wheel, this one is an excellent choice. It is more comfortable, smooth, and accurate than several mice I've tried in the $40 to $100 range.

The IBM branded 3 Button USB Optical Mouse is fantastic for CAD use (AutoCAD, ProE, CATIA, etc.).It's a legitimate three button mouse without a wheel.It's optical so there is no ball or rollers to clean.It tracks great on virtually any surface.It's perfectly suited for laptop use also since it's directly wired with USB plug-no PS/2 to USB adapter required.I own three of these mice now and I love them.I use this model of mouse on all of my computers.The part number on the bottom of the ...
