Oh c'mon! The reviewers who gave this toaster such high ratings must eat mainly "factory" bread, for which a $19.95 toaster should be perfectly adequate.

If you are a true lover of sublime toast -- someone who differentiates between breads that make the ideal thick-slab toast to accompany a great plate of eggs, thin crostini while cooking, or a snack with afternoon tea -- any toaster that can't handle hand-sliced artisan breads isn't worth consideration.
