- Works like it should
I am real happy with this toaster. I toasts nicely. The "warm" cycle does what it says, heats the bread back up with only a slight additional toasting. I love the "bagel" setting. One side toasted, the other side heated, with just a light toast. The negative, it does take longer to toast bread, but the resulting product is worth waiting for. I would definitely buy this toaster again and would recommend it to anyone.

Our household of five is very pleased with this toaster.I read reviews on dozens of models and went to the local big box store to try out various brands in person.The KitchenAid feels very solid and makes toast quickly and evenly every time.

I really wanted the cuisinart (who am I kidding I wanted the Dualit), saw the cuisinart in person, rounded at the top made it seem smaller, but the reviews really weren't very good, so I went with this one.It does a very good job toasting.First toaster, one side did not work out of the box, return went smoothly and the second one is fine. Really can't complain except for the size factor, you might take that into consideration if you leave it out on the counter or have minimal counter space.

Had high expectations because I own other KitchenAid products, which are excellent. I sent first toaster back to KitchenAid because it never really toasted well and one side stopped working within a few months.
It took KitchenAid about 8 weeks to send me a replacement, and it was worse. Takse almost 5 minutes (!) to toast and, even on highest setting, whole grain bread never toasts past very light tan. While the company is sending me a refund, we're been without decent toast for 6 months.
