This thing couldn't blend hot butter. Awful..good luck with ice. Nosier than a DC 10 jet engine.

THIS IS MY SECOND TIME PURCHASING THIS ITEM. THE FIRST TIME THE PLASTIC GLASS CRACKED DOWN THE MIDDLE AND THE BLENDER TOP LOST 1 OF ITS BLADES WHILE BLENDING A SHAKE. HOPEFULLY THE KINKS WERE WORKED OUT

I bought this blender for my office so I could blend smoothies for breakfast and lunch, and I couldn't be happier with it.At first I thought I'd have to put it on my file cabinet, but it has a very small footprint so its found a spot on my desk.When I was originally searching for a personal blender I was concerned that anything I got would have trouble crushing ice.This little thing has no trouble!We don't have tray ice at my office, we have an ice machine that makes pebble sized ice balls. ... I love this little thing.So compact.I never need to use my big blender now. (I never need to make more than just for myself)I just stick the cup, lid and blade right into the dishwasher.No mess.

This blender is just right.My husband and I make smoothies five days a week for breakfast. The blender can not handle chopping ice but that is fine with my husband and i becasue we like our smoothies thicker and chopped ice waters the smoothies down.Instead we just put come ice cubes in it and give the mug a good shake or two.Come out great.
