- Best I have owned
I have owned several folding utility knives of varying quality. This one from Bessey is by far the best I have used.
Everything about it says quality. The blade is held tight during use with absolutely no wobble or play, which is a big fault with most of the "quick change" knives I have used. Opening the blade with the thumb stud requires an appropriate amount of effort...enough to keep the blade safely closed in your pocket, but sill relatively easy to deploy when you want to. The ... - Best Utility Knife I've Ever Owned
I've used many utility knifes in my life for many purposes, including a lot of construction projects involving sheet-rock, tar paper, roofing, carpet, and linoleum.
This knife is by far the best I've used. It's a single-blade, with no storage on-board for additional blades. It's heavy duty and feels weighty and sturdy. It's beautiful. It has a pocket-knife operation that logs into place once opened and a simple blade removal/replacement process where you flip a catch up, widthdraw the ... Read More

- Sturdy
This Knife was one of the early types in the market until they started adding some style which was disappointing. In some of the stylish ones, the blades just fell off. I went looking for the older style and found this on Amazon, and I am glad I did.Just what I was looking for.Good deal.

- hey, that's my knife!
Have been carrying this knife for over a year and did not realize that it was a Bessey. You see, I bought it at Sears under the Craftsman name. It is the identical knife in every way. Good looking, tough, and easy to use. I must use it 8 times a day, every day. As long as don't lose it, I'll will it to my kid when I can't use it anymore!!!!

- My favorite knife
Wow, up to #5 on the best sellers list.
I love this knife for what it is: just a knife with no gimmicks, no storage, etc. and it uses the standard replaceable utility blades (I prefer Irwin Bi-Metal BLUE BLADEs). Yet, this one is very attractive.
Opens two handed or one handed with a little more effort.
This knife has a nice heft and feels good in your hand. If you buy it as a gift chances are that you'll either get knife envy or end up keeping it for yourself.
