My dishwasher wasn't visibly dingy, but it must have had hard water build-up because one or more of the jets was clogged. My dishes were not getting clean and the detergent was not being properly rinsed from them. After trying both vinegar and bleach, I bought this as a last ditch effort before calling a repairman or replacing the dishwasher. I am so happy that this $6 purchase saved me so much time and money. I just used it once and problem solved. I would highly recommend this product.

- Don't use in stainless steel dishwasher
This product actually worked pretty well at cleaning the inside of my dishwasher.The water we had was pretty hard.It just caked the dishes.After using Glisten, my glassware that looked so dingy once again sparkled.
The problem I had was it instructs us not to use this product on stainless steel utensils.Well, my dishwasher was stainless steel inside.I ran the Glisten anyway, and although it was very clean afterwards, it looked like it was also beginning to rust.The rust ... Read More

I am so glad I found this product.I have been having problems with my dishwasher for several weeks.The water would not competely drain out of the bottom.If I didn't empty out the water competely then my dishes would have residual gunk on them.YUCK!I took apart the hoses to look for clogs etc and couldn't find any.I was finally ready to call the repair man.The week before I had looked up this product and bought it...just to clean the dishwasher.I thought I'd use it before the repair ... - Getting It Clean
This product did not do what I hoped it would. It only got my dishwasher slightly cleaner. I had to purchase another dishwasher cleaner. In all fairness, my dishwasher was pretty pathetic. In all, it took three cleaning cycles to get my dishwasher back to where it should be.
Rating: - A little pricey but works.
I bought one of these. It removed some of the scale from my dishwasher and certainly made a big difference (hence the 5 stars) but for $5, I probably needed several to actually get the dang thing clean. So I bought a new dishwasher.
