The floor lamp is next to my bed and is used as a lamp for reading. The spectral output is condusive to reading as the light is easy on the eyes and uses a more natural light ray. The tray is thoughtful as well as practical. It works well for your glasses, and small accessories.
One concern: I own four additional natural spectrum lamps. They look similar, but are from different vendors. Two of the lamps failed after a couple of years. I did not have them repaired yet and do not know ... Read More

I traveled to 8 different stores looking for this style of lamp with no luck. Went on line, found it immediately and was using it in my home two days later. Very Pleased!

- POOR CONSTRUCTION
The lamp directions show a screw to hold the lamp together but none was included so it falls apart.

The light works well, easy on the eyes, my expecting wife says her eyes feels much better now.Regardless if it's just her mind playing games or if the light is indeed good, doesn't matter.Happy wife, Happy me.
The tray is pretty convinient, put ipods, cel phones on there, easy to see, don't get lost.
The packing on this item needs a bit help though.They pack the light bulb right next to the base which is ultra heavy, of course it was competely shattered with glass ... Read More

Well, there are a couple of observations that might come in useful to some one trying to make a purchase decision on this lamp.
The height quoted for this product is a bit of a misnomer.Technically speaking the higher end figure quoted for the height is correct, however, to achieve that height, you'd have to completely straighten out the curly part (the top part of the lamp), this will make it so that the lamp will be aiming sideways across the room instead of downward!Now I don't know ...
