- best kept secret in dvd players.
I got this a year ago, and it's just wonderful. Both the picture and sound are first class. It replaced a crappy Toshiba player that was the biggest piece of electronic crap I have ever purchased. this is so much better, I swear it makes my dvd's sound and look better than any other player I have seen. Highly recommended.
Rating: - It Worked Fine Until It Didn't
I have had this recorder for about a year.I unplugged it one day to vacuum and after that, I kept getting a "no disc" message.I tried the remedy suggested in the instruction booklet and I got it to work one more time, but after that, I kept getting the error message.Of course, it is now out of warranty and I would have to pay for it to be repaired.I was very disappointed as I am the only one here and did not use it very often.It was in the cabinet where it was protected, so I felt its life ... - Good with Sony, Bad with Pioneer
I've had OPDV971H HD for 2 years in conjunction with Sony Bravia LCD, worked very nicely. Now that I got a better quality Pioneer Plazma it is abvious that the player doesn't produce good picture quality. will be buying something new.

This by far is the best DVD player I have ever owned.I love the intelligent up-conversion, its simple look at the fact that I can control just about every facet of the player.
It is amazing they could do all this for so little money.This is one of those devices that if you buy it, you will love it, but you will never be able to get your friends to buy it.Because it does not have the name recognition of many other players, I have noticed friends reluctant to even consider it.

Amazing!This appliance is simply amazing and it's backed by a sound company from which i have received nothing but top notch, lightning-fast customer support from.About 6 months after receiving the player, the remote took a vacation.I emailed the oppo support folks who responded back within a couple hours and posted a walk-through on how to reset the remote and resync it with the player.This worked for a while but when it stopped again, i emailed them once more at which point they asked for my ...
