This was a necessary purchase to get a Vista/Longhorn base compatible board. I was able to utilize the CPU, SATA drive, and other periferals from my recently purchased D101Ggc. I would have preferred an additional IDE socket for a master PATA drive instead of the FD socket. The only minor problem was that I needed DDR 2 memory for this which called for another Amazon quick purchase and prompt delivery. I still would like for Intel to prescribe to a more customizable Bios setup and System Reboot.

The Intel DQ965GF MicroAtx Motherboard accepts the new Intel Core 2 Quad processor, so it's the reason why I bought it. The motherboard comes with a CD containing all the drivers for the Intel chipset contained, but I had some difficulty in installing the drivers.
I installed my Windows XP, without SP2, but the drivers wouldn't install until SP2 was included, but I couldn't connect to Windows Update because the Ethernet connector is part of the chipset. I had to install an external Ethernet ... Read More
