Quite pleased in general with features, answering machine operation, tone quality, etc. Two-line capability is quite useful. Range is better than that of most other cordless phones I've had, but only about half the distance my previous (about 5-year-old) GigaRange phone had.Operation is good anywhere in the house, gets spotty in the garage and more remote parts of the yard. This is a good phone. The reception is good along with a host of other features. I do wish it had more ringtones.

I bought this since it's the only panasonic with 2 lines.. but the background hiss on it just bothered me too much. I returned it and bought a panasonic DECT phone.. (only 1 line though) and it's crystal clear. If you want no static or hiss in the background I recommend their new DECT phones.

I had an older version of this phone (KX-TG2740).I chose to buy the new version due to the expense of replacing hand sets for the older phone.I like the shape and weight of the new hand sets and the blinking light when there's a message.The display is harder to read than the old one and the soft keys are more difficult to press.The base unit doesn't have a full display so if you dial a number from the base unit you can't see what you entered.The answering machine is easier to use than the ...
