- crock cracked with the first use.
I purchased this crock because I wanted a larger one and because I have other Kitchenaid appliances.I have been pleased with all my other kitchenaid purchases but this one I am not so sure.I got this last Wed. and used it Thur.to make the Pulled Pork BBQ , well the crock cracked!!I was so upset , tempted to send it back for a refund..My husband convinced me to try again.I called Kitchenaid and they are sending me a new crock so we will see. - Cracked crock #2!
I sincerely loved the look of this when I first got it two years ago, but within hours of the first use I noticed a crack in the plastic along the bottom exterior. No big deal, just took away from it's looks a little. It is extremely heavy; anyone who claims they can pour from the insert must be a very strong man. - Not reliable
I really want to like this product -- it looks good, it's a nice size and the heating functions work well enough. The problem is that i've had two of the removable ceramic pots crack on me.I don't put frozen meat or veggies in the crock pot, just stuff out of the fridge, so I don't believe that I have done anything wrong.Kitchen Aid sent out a replacement no questions asked the first time one broke, we shall see if they do it a second time.
Update: Even though I'm out of warranty, Kichen ... Read More

- Crock Cracked!
I was really happy when my hubby got this for me for Christmas but after probably less then ten uses or so it crack all the way across the middle. Of course it happened 3 months after they warranty expired. I tried going on Kitchen Aids website but it was full of errors and page not founds.

- Ceramic insert cracked after 5 uses
I bought the stainless steel model (7qt) three months ago.Today was the 5th time using it.I heard a loud noise that sounded strange, then i heard the liquid dripping on the floor.
There is obviously a flaw in the design of the ceramic insert.
