I have 4 pressure cookers; this is my favorite.Kuhn Rikon are the cadillac of pressure cookers.They heat up fast and don't need a lot of heat to stay at pressure.I especially like the wide area for browning before bringing the item up to pressure.I also like the waffled bottom.There is texture in the stainless steel that makes it easier to release items you are browning, without the fragility of non-stick.If you can only have one pressure cooker I'd make it this one.

I have several pressure cookers sizes from Kuhn Rikon. And I like all of them, but this one I absolutely love. The base size is wider since it is a pan and great for roasts. I wish they would make one that is even wider than this one. I would buy it in a heartbeat.
