I swear I dont know how anyone can rate these less than 5...
I have these and the bakeware and they are great. It goes without saying if you put HOT stuff in these bowls do not stick straight in the fridge, wait till it cools. Just like if you buy the bakeware and take out of oven, do not put cold water on a GLASS pan that just came out of the oven. Put warm or hot water in it. But these storage containers are great. Dishwasher safe, etc... Been using them for a year and the covers work perfect ... Read More

I initially ordered this set to heat up my babies foods in since I make homemade purees and freeze them. I didn't want to go through all the trouble of making them myself only to heat them up in BPA filled plastic tupperware!
After using them for that purpose for a month, I began using these for all of my leftovers as well. What a fabulous product! No staining, no odors, no scratches or marks on the sides. The lids fit snugly so NO SPILLS and everything is dishwasher safe! I ended up using ... Read More

I recently purchased the 18 piece Pyrex set. I find them to be very durable, convenient and easy to maintain. The clean lines make them easy to clean. I find it useful that they're transparent, since you can see the contents. I've been using them to freeze foods, as well as bake, and store left overs. I've been washing the covers by hand however, after reading some of the other reviews that indicated that the covers become brittle overtime when washed in the machine. I got this Pyrex set as a Christmas gift for my folks to replace all those spaghetti stained tupperwares they've kept over the years.While the lids are a little difficult to get on and off at first, after putting them on a few times, they don't seem too hard to put on or remove.My guess is that I was trained to the tupperware lid indentations.
The Pyrex bowls don't stain, don't leech plastics into your food, and the whole set looks simple and classy.Highly recommended.

I was afraid the lids wouldn't fit as mentioned here however they fit tightly.Instead of trying to cover the whole container at once place the lid on one side and push on the line near at the opposite edge it always works and you don't have to heat the lid.I used to get plastic ones and put them in the trash after they got old, a lot of waste.These containers do not retain odors, it is nice to have different sizes, I use them for storage, mixing, and preparing food, have bought 4 sets so far.
