Rating: - Cool device but poor quality, prone to USB issues
I purchased with the intent of using in my new Mac Mini. Only a 3 days in and I am receiving an error telling me
"The EyeTV Hybrid device will not operate because it is connected to a USB 1.1 port". One quick Google search and I found the article below. Based on how common this issue appears to be I will opt to return my tuner. It's really too bad. When it works it works very well.

Rating: - Superb TV solution for my iMac
I agree I did my research before purchasing this product. But still I am very happy with this product. Its small and hardly visible behind my iMac. Produces nice TV output on my screen. The TV guide also works fine and I was even able to record shows. Only down side I observed is that its gets a little hot when left connected to the system for too long. Except that everything is fine.
Rating: - Buy this and not the Pinnacle TV tuner stick!
This item was a great buy! If you're looking at buying the Pinnnacle TV tuner for Mac, make a better investment and buy the Elgato EyeTV. Pinnacle tuner comes with EyeTV Lite, the Elgato tuner comes with EyeTV hybrid. The USB extention cable is great if you want to tuck away the tuner stick or just don't want it sticking out the back of your desktop. Rating: - You should note this is the older model...
I was excited to see the price of this, but there is NO hint whatsoever that this is the 2007 edition besides that fact that there is a date for when the product was first listed. There is a newer one than this which has better Clear QAM support and is the 2008 edition, but other than that this product is still great. I haven't A/Bed products to compare quality or features but this is definitely what I needed.

I am very pleased with my purchase of the Elgato EyeTV Hybrid. I liked everything about it. It's extremely easy to set up and record. I've never used another type of product like this so I can't really compare. That being said, all the other versions that work with macs seemed to be more expensive.

The only thing that I had a problem with is the editing aspect of the software. It's very awkward and hard to use. However, you can export the video files to be used in various editing programs so ... Read More
