We are serious rice eaters and was given this rice cooker as a gift from my mother-in-law in South Carolina many years ago. I was so glad to see I can order another from here.This is the best way to ensure that your rice is perfect everytime, regardless of what kind you are cooking. Rating: - Great Rice Pot
I bought a nearly identical pot in 1973 from ACE hardware. Mine is about worn out so I was happy to find this one. These pots are idiot proof for rice. Put in equal amounts of rice and water in the top, water in the bottom and let cook for 25 minutes. Perfect rice; 2 hours later it's still perfect rice.

I have been using a rice steamer (CIRCA 1950 OR BEFORE)which belonged to my mother-in-law for most of my married life (33 years). Over the years the insert pot had become worn and developed pin-size holes in it and the grip on top had to be replaced, but I loved it! It made perfect rice and was great for steaming vegetables and so much more. Some years ago I went on a search to find a duplicate, using the internet and contacting the manufacturer, Wearever.
