- Works Great
I bought this because it was recommended by Cooks Illustrated and wasn't as expensive as their first choice. It works great, but after using it a lot over the last week, there are already two nicks in the side.I'm sure I did something to cause them, but I was hoping it would avoid nicks for a while.I bought my last spatula from Pampered Chef about 10 years ago and it seemed to fare better. Also, when I put this one in the dishwasher, it comes out with a white film on the blade. It wipes off, ... - The only spatula you need.
I bought this spatula based on the Cooks Illustrated high recommendation; I certainly agree with them.Unlike cheap spatulas, which flex like a garden hose, this one remains rigid enough to scrape the fond (brown bits on bottom of pan formed from sauteing) from the bottom of the pan, such as when you deglaze.Handle is long enough to keep your hands away from the heat.Cleans up nicely in the dishwasher.I can't think of anything negative to say about them.I would like to buy a few more.

- Good product
I subscribe to Cook's Illustrated which reviewed spatulas in a recent issue and gave this high marks.I bought it and agree that it is the best.Handle is comfortable and blade well shaped and just stiff enough.
Rating:
- Sturdy, sharp edged, stiff yet flexible -- very effective
Stiff yet flexible? How do they do that?
The edge of the blade tapers to a very fine wedge, like a knife blade. That gives two advantages. One is that it's thin enough to conform to the surface, like a window squeegee would. The other is that it's sharp enough to lift whatever you're stirring.
Now my favorite spatula!

- Stainless steel handle never gets hot!
This spatula is the greatest. And, bizarre but true, that brushed stainless steel handle does not, in fact, conduct heat.Obviously this seems counter-intuitive, but there you go.A great product.
