I own both this massager and the one with 2 heads, I much prefer the other. This one seems less effective and weaker.

I have purchased 7 (SEVEN!!) HoMedics hand-held massagers since 2006 because I have a muscle disease. Every one has died, usually within 3 months. It isn't that the motor wears out, but there is some short in the handle, some defect so that suddenly in the 3rd month, it will only stay on if facing down, and then even intermittently. I once found someone's review that said that you should have them replace the defective switches first and then they would last. The worst part is that since I can't ... Read More

The percussion massager works fine and the long handle allows one to reach difficult areas on one's back.The infrared heat is not very intense and was a disappointment.
