- Simple, functioning cable.
If you just need a cable for your ipod nano 4th gen for a line out signal to a mini connector for use in your front car auxiliary port, then this cable has exactly what you need and nothing that you don't.
The cable is just the right length so you can confortably find the songs you need on your ipod while it's connected to your car aux port, without a bunch of additional cable snaking over your console and/or seat.

- Ok cables
These plug in great and are compatible with my car... However I expected them to also charge my Ipod and they do not.I made the wrong assumption that because it has a bottom plug instead of using the headphone jack it would charge.Oh well.
Rating:
- Does not work for iPod Touch in your car!!!
The connector is supposed to connect from the iPod to a 1/8" stereo input (auxilary input) - so that it can play through the stereo. It doesn't work - the only sound I got from my iPod was through the internal speaker, not the stereo.I verified by then using an 1/8" to 1/8" cable, and got the results I was looking for. Proving it wasn't user error. It just didn't work.
The cable does not work as described, and was a relatively expensive cable to find out it didn't work as it should.

- Does Not Work With iPhone
Although the description doesn't state it will work with iPhone, I thought I'd give it a chance, thinking it should work with any device with a dock connector.Bad idea. There are no electronics in the cable to tell the device that anything is connected to the dock connector, so the sound is still routed to the on-board speakers.I plan on returning it because I had only gotten it to replace a now obsolete iPod car charger with a line-out that doesn't charge my iPhone 3G.

- Handy cable to have.
This cable works as advertised. I was able to listen to my iPod through my car audio system by connecting it to the headphone jack with this cable. Well worth the money.
