- SleepMate make for sound-sleep
We have a ten year old who has trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. A friend of ours recommended the SleepMate, which produces "white-noise". They lent us theirs for one month. It worked just like they said it did for their child. Our son began to fall asleep, and stay asleep. We bought one. He uses it every night. Highly recommend it for children (and adults?? - maybe - not sure) who have trouble falling asleep or staying asleep.

We use this noisemaker in our baby's room.We love it.She sleeps well and I don't have to worry about all of the World's noises waking her up at night (we live near the end of a base runway so we have large helos and C130s and sometimes F18s flying low over the house).

I have tried various devices before with all different types of sounds, but nothing comes close to this, as far as drowning out all types of noise. It is well designed and simple to operate. I have been a light sleeper for all of my life and the Sleep Mate is a tremendous help. I plan on taking it on all my trips out of town. If you live near noisy inconsiderate neighbors, you really should try this.Ron

We have recently employed the Marpac 980a in a clinical situation. This unit seems to work very well for masking conversations in adjacent rooms. Very much worth the price!

I used to sleep with a floor fan on just because I slept better with the noise of the fan.I decided to give this White Noise Machine a try and I really like it!I was able to adjust it so it matched the sound of the floor fan I was used to.When I have it on, I don't hear my teenagers bumping around in the house after I've gone to bed and I no longer have to put up with the "breeze" from the fan.
