Preset this coffeemaker for your desired wake-up time, add coffee beans to the grinder, and in the morning the beans are ground to a medium grind and hot coffee awaits in the glass 12-cup carafe. You can also program the machine to start brewing at the end of a dinner party to avoid having to get up from the table, or to have hot coffee waiting after a brisk winter walk. When making fewer than five cups of coffee, use the 1-to-4-cups setting to improve extraction and heat; coffeemakers without this setting often lack the time to heat up properly, and coffee comes out cooler. A disposable charcoal filter removes chlorine and odors from tap water, improving coffee flavor, and should be changed every few months. This coffemaker is great, and we got it for a great price. It was refurbished, but just like new.

I was a little disappointed because there were a lot of superficial dings and scratches on it.But it does what it's supposed to do so I guess no complaints there.

I love the coffee grinder, brewer.I worry about the longgevity of the maker however because the first one broke down very quickly.Hope to have the one we have now for a good long time.It makes delicious coffee and the aroma can't be beat.

The reconditioned units arrive in new looking condition and are well worth the reduced price.Our 10 cup version is still working but my wife is such a coffee addict that we needed to have one in reserve.We put the 10 cup away and started using the 12 cup only to find that she had a problem seeing the water level inside the reservoir.So we packed the recently purchased unit up as the backup and are back to using the 10 cup version which I believe is the 300 series.
