- Great product, outrageous price
I have used these tablets for the past year or so and I am very happy with their cleaning performance.The really hard, caked-on stuff doesn't come off completely sometimes but I don't know how well any of the not-so-eco competition would perform, so I'm willing to do a little scrubbing now and then to get the environmental benefits.I have to say that the price for five boxes here on Amazon ($69.99 as of this review) is highway robbery.You can get five boxes from HerbTrader for around forty ... - What is with the price increase???
I purchased the Ecover Dishwashing Tablets last June and fell in love with them. I ordered the multipack of 5 boxes for exactly $22.08. I went to reorder them today and had a nasty revelation... the price has skyrocketed to $69.99. Are you kidding me??? I read through the other reviews and no one seemed to have a problem paying this much, but I can't for the life of me understand a jump in price that severe. What gives, Amazon? I can understand a few dollars... the cost of inflation, etc. But to ... Read More

The Ecover Dishwashing Tablets looked SO good - and I really, really wanted them to work, since I want to do what I can to help the environment....unfortunately, they don't dissolve well, and leave nasty streaks of soap all over my chocolate covered dishes - RAISED streaks, so I know it's not water spotting.I've tried a variety of ways to implement them - in the dispenser, in the basket, you name it, I've tried it - and with the same result.I don't have this problem with Cascade or something ... In an effort to "go green" and support eco-conscious companies I started looking for a replacement to the Electrosol dishwasher tablets that we had been using.We started with Seventh Generation Automatic Dishwasher Powder, Free & Clear, 75-Ounces Boxes, Case Pack, (Pack of 8); this product was a disaster and left a heavy white film on all of our dishes.Next I tried these Ecover dishwashing tablets; wow these are awesome!

Works great on glass, but so so on plastic. Still left some residue on the plastic but overall, a good product. Works better than anything else I've tried.
