The Harman Kardon HKTS 18 is a beautiful black lacquer speaker system with a powerful 200 watt 10" subwoofer.It is a 5.1 speaker system which can be expanded to 7.1 with the optional HKS-9 satellite speakers. It has a 3/4" tweeter for excellent high frequency response.It is magnetically shielded so it can be put next to your TV. It comes with all the speaker cables and shelf stand and wall mount brackets for the satellites.

- Nice System
Pros: HKTS-18 is really one good system. It sounds very clear and bass is really powerful. I use it to watch movie, listen to music, and play games. They are all sound good in this speaker.
Cons: There's one minor cons, the subwoofer will have a small explosion sounding like when you turn your amp on.

I researched, looked at & listened to a several brands before I settled on the Harman Kardon HKTS-18.The Bose Acoustimass 10 was equal quality but priced ridiculously high ($999). The Bose Acoustimass 6 was certainly a step down, but amazingly still priced about double what I paid for the HKTS-18. The Harman Kardon speakers arrived in less than a week and in perfect condition. Without a doubt the best sounding setup I have ever had. I couldn't be happier.

the system offers excellent sound quality, and integrates very nicely with my receiver and flat tv set. My iTouch music sounds very well.

All I can truly say is these jems are unbelievalbe.. Very impressed with the quality and the sound with movies as well as live and recorded music.I matched these speakers with a Sony STR-DG820 7.1 channel surround AV receiver. For now I have just bought the 5.1 surround system from Harman Kardon, but i can always buy 2 more of these babies later for about 100 bucks and have a full blown 7.1 surround system.. You most definitly can not go wrong with these speakers. Buy and enjoy !!!!

I was happy to find this 5.1 speaker set for my new family room.I expanded the set with the Harman Kardon HKS-9 Speaker pair to make it into a 7.1 setup.
The mounting of the speakers takes a bit of time since I had to set into the wall using some molly anchors, but they sit solid as a rock and sound incredible!
I even mounted two of them to the ceiling over the sitting area.I was a bit concerned at first about the mounting system being able to hold them stable of our heads, but the ... Read More
