Barista grade control for a variety of coffee grinds. The removable bean hopper holds 1/2 a pound of coffee beans. The motor drives the bottom burrs and the top plate is stationary. The distance you position them apart precisely determines grind size. The easy-to-read settings allow for grind choices from ultra-fine for Turkish coffee to large and coarse for percolators.

I purchased this grinder with the espresso machine from Breville.I was hoping for being able to produce espresso and Turkish grounds.I was disappointed and returned the grinder to Breville because it would not produce fine enough grounds to produce good espresso in their Breville die cast espresso machine.After much E-mail including pictures of the grounds produced they replace the machine. We love this Breville conical burr grinder. The coffee beans are ground to perfection for our drip coffee maker. The machine is very quiet, and best of all, the ground coffee doesn't cling to the plastic container.BRAVO!!!!!

Picked up the Breville BCG450XL Conical Burr Grinder at Williams Sonoma a few days ago and so far it has worked flawlessly. The Breville takes coffee making to the next level without breaking the bank.
Previous reviewers mentioned a few concerns.
1. Static. This has a lot to do with the grind selected, dryness of the coffee beans, and humidity.So far, using the extra fine setting, no appreciable 'sticking'. Just a gentle tap on the grounds bin works nicely to consolidate ... Read More
