I just successfully added this card, an Athlon X2 6000 (Model ADX6000CZBOX), which has 2 mg. of L2 Cache, to my HP a1730n, with the HP upgraded Bio, ver. 5.07. The CPU was properly recognized by the Bios. Temp. of the CPU is in the very low 50's C., and the main board is in the low 40's C. The out-of-the-box fan seems adequate and quieter than the original CPU fan for this model. An appreciable increase in speed well worth the $90 spent. You might wish to add an inexpensive replacement case fan to ... Read More

When I ordered this I thought I would be sent the 125W 90nm, but instead received the 89W 90nm 6000+, which is better because I found out later my motherboard can only handle up to 95W so I lucked out there. With the stock cooler I found it runs very cool at around 30-40C depending on what I am doing and which core (Core #2 runs about 10C hotter idle).
I am not sure why this product is mislabeled as the 125W, maybe amazon needs to change it or maybe it was just luck. But I am very happy ... Read More

For the price, it's a really great processor and I haven't had any problems with temperature, so I guess my stock fans are good enough. I can now multitask with no problem at all. I can listen to my music and download a movie and play a game all at the same time without having to worry about lagging or freezing up. Awesome price on this item as well, I'd recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade.
