- Cooks 'way too hot!!!
Even though this slow cooker is much more expensive than others, I decided to buy this one because it is the only model that allows the cook to brown on the stove-top, right in the stoneware pot, thus retaining the flavor of the "fond", avoiding the use of a second pan, etc.
Well, I should have listened to the other reviewers who warned that this model cooks too hot, even on the "low" setting.It's true.

- Minor blips, but overall great!
We find the little green indicator light kind of blinding (from across the room!) and the handles dangerously hot during and shortly after cooking, but this is otherwise a great deal. The other item I looked into was the All-Clad Deluxe Slow Cooker from Williams Sonoma. At 1/4 the price, this is most satisfactory alternative. I really enjoy not having to move a hot and heavy dripping roast from the pan I brown it in to the insert to finish cooking! I appreciate that the insert is dishwasher safe, ... Read More

It is amazing how far slow cookers have come.There is little I can think of that would improve this product.
Rating: - Does not warm up
I was so excited to get this slow cooker and was very dissapointed.I spent about 5 hours on high power to get some onions to brown and it never happened.I have wasted two things with trying to get this slow cooker to work.
Don't get it unless you want uncooked food and disappointment.
