I bought this dutch oven along with the Le Creuset knob for the lid as I thought that I might have a need for one rated at a higher temperature.I have had the dutch oven about three weeks and have used it five or six times.It is great to cook in as it browns meat without sticking.I have used it more than my slow cooker lately and I love it.I would not hesitate to buy another.Great price!

I LOVE my new Lodge Dutch ovens!!I also own La Creuset enameled cast iron cookware.Lodge is EVERY bit the quality at a much more reasonable price, with a lifetime warranty.I am so glad I found Lodge here on Amazon.com

I purchased this Dutch Oven when I read a review stating this comes from a little company in the USA.When I received the box it stated made in China.I called the company and they said that all their Enameled Dutch Ovens come from China.This is a big concern since there has been issues with China's lead addition to their paints.We've addressed this issue to some extent with Children toys manufactured in China but I am hesitant to believe that all their addition of lead in other products have ... I order the cookware from amazon at a much lower price than other sites. I
have used thepot numerous times and love it. It is a great pot for cooking soups, stews and braising.
Rating: - The 2nd Time Around
I have had the smaller 3qt "little brother" to this 6qt one for several months now and love it. It's much easier to clean than I imagined, browns meat better than anything and is lots prettier than it appears to be in the picture. It also has a wider bottom, which I find much more useful than the expensive ones. If you're cooking more than three or four servings, I'd suggest the 6qt but why not get both, you'd still spend less money than for one Le Creuset.
