I have enjoyed my Lodge Dutch Oven. It is easy to clean and it is great for slow cooked meals. I also bought the 3 qt casserole.

I can't comment on the durability as I've only been using this pot for a month, but so far it's performed as well as the Staub pot I had been using for years previously. If this holds up for even a couple of years, I'd say it's well worth it for the price! The only catch is that the handle is only oven-safe to 400F, so I have had to remove it on a few occasions. It screws on and off quite easily, though!

... it's a replacement for the 5-qt. dutch oven I used weekly which was lost when moving.$53 Lodge vs. $210 Le Creuset.The 75% savings paid for a complete 10-piece set of Cuisinart Chef's Classic stainless steel.(Bought the original Le Creuset in 1991 as part of a 2 fry pans, 2 sauce, 1 dutch oven set for $170.)
Don't know yet if I like the shallower/wider shape as I'm so accustomed to long-cooking dishes in a deep pot.But, it is a generous 6-qts. (rather than 5), it cooks ... Read More

I've been looking for an enameled cast-iron dutch oven I could afford. This is it! Produces a good fond, is great for slow cooking, I love it!
