Rating: - Great product, poor manual
Because of the poorly written pamphlet that passes for a manual it took me a while to determine that the monitor wasn't broken on arrival. It was never made clear that there was a hidden "on" switch in the back as well as the one on the front. Turning the monitor on via the front switch without turning on the back switch resulted in an apparently dead monitor. Once I got it working, though, it works great. It would be nice to have better brightness, gamma and color controls though.

Bought this for my new mac pro. I absolutely love it. Compared to the Apple 23" Cinema display I run as a second monitor the 305T is brighter and the text sharper. The colors are bright and pleasant. It also works flawlessly with my macbook pro.
Rating: - What a Deal
A 30" monitor for under 800, shipped. Wow. I ordered this on Saturday, slapped on $4 for the Amazon Prime overnight service and was pleasantly surprised to have it show up on Monday. Worked perfectly right out of the box. Good thing the price has gone back up over $1000, or I'd be tempted to get another one.

After reading the specs on all monitors in the 26-32" range, I chose the Samsung Syncmaster 305T.With out exaggerating, this is the clearest, most precise monitor I've ever owned, let alone seen.At full resolution with my new Mac Pro dual 3.0gHz Quad Core CPUs and 32GB FBDIMMs, the nVidia with 512MB makes this monitor go POP!Most definitely better than the Apple 30" and at a far better price, though I bought mine at NewEgg, the prices change daily.I have been calibrating with a Huey, ... - Oh where oh where is my monitor
I'm sure this is a good monitor if I ever receive it. Mine has been on a UPS truck for the last 3 days. If you order it from Amazon don't let them ship from Electronica Direct. Electronica Direct requires an "In Person" signature. A signed attempted delivery note won't suffice. Good luck if you have a job and can't be home all day to wait for a package.
I won't order from Electronica Direct EVER again.
