- SyncMaster 226bw are great monitors
I bought this as a second monitor to add to my existing 226bw. It was a reconditioned unit so it came with a few scratches and the back cable cover was missing. The performance is what I expected and am very happy with it. These are good hight quality monitors with clear praphics and fast refresh rates.

Had for over a year now and had no problems, no dead pixels etc.I would recommend to anyone,Downside tho this model is no pivit stand.
The colors are right on. seems to be very sturdy. I play alot of fps games and have had 0 ghosting. This paired up with a great sound system will get you buried in your game faster than you realize.
A+ product and Samsung is a great company.

This is the second SyncMaster 226BW I've purchase and both are running on a dual-screen setup on my Ubuntu Linux desktop.They're crystal clear and beautiful.

This is a great monitor. I originally wanted the Acer model similar to this, but had to get this one due to availability from store. The side-to-side viewing is great. It looks like the image is painted on, like in Star Trek TV shows. Up-to-down viewing is awful though. You have to view it at eye level or else it does that color shift LCDs do. You can't tilt the monitor up and down either - which is really bad design! You can tilt it left or right, but that isn't needed since you can view it from ... Read More

I've had this monitor for over a year now and it's been very reliable. No dead pixels even after bottle cap was jettisoned right in to the screen.
