Le Creuset Enameled Cast-Iron 1-3/4-Quart Moroccan Tagine, Cobalt
from: Le Creuset
Product Description:
L7473-0030 TAGINE 1.75 QT BLUE
Amazon.com Review:
You'll fall in love with this tagine as you slow-cook succulent lamb, chicken, fish, or vegetable and couscous dishes typical of Moroccan cuisine. The two-piece tagine consists of a shallow dish on which sits a conical lid that circulates flavorful juices as it vents excess steam. Both are constructed of durable cast iron and coated with hard layers of enamel that resist cracking, chipping, staining, and odor retention. Suitable for use on any type of stovetop burner or in a conventional oven, the cast-iron tagine with its excellent thermal properties is ideal for simmering or baking at low heat.
Made in France, the Moroccan tagine comes in a choice of several bright, modern colors for the lid enamel, while the base enamel is black. The smooth coating means food particles tend not to stick, making cleaning the tagine by hand on in the dishwasher a snap. Enjoy choosing coordinating colors for your Le Creuset baking pans, pie dishes, French ovens, and more, and relax knowing each is covered by a lifetime limited warranty against defects. --Ann Bieri

- Beautiful piece of cookware
I got this 2 years ago and have been using it every week. This is so beautiful, it never left my stovetop and it is a great conversation piece when guest come over. This is also made in France another plus.I have seen some LC from China and will not pay the price for that even with discount. This is great to use as a slow cooker so any recipe for crockpot can be used here not only Moroccan dishes and it use very little liquid so the flavor of whatever meat you cook is concentrated and moist. ... - tasty meals from the tagine
My husband and I were at the Le Creuset outlets and as we were exiting, he saw the tagine and was asking what it was. I had no idea, but an associate overheard us and took the time to explain what it was and how it worked.
I was so intrigued by this that I Googled it and those who had it seemed to really like it so the next day, we went back to purchase it (they were having a great sale anyway and it was only $100). I'm always up for trying new things! The first thing I made in the tagine ... Read More

- Best tasting meat dishes ever!
After reading all reviews, I purchased one of these.I did a little research on the condensation issue brought up by one reviewer and found that it is most likely because the heat is too high.I have a Decor stove with 18,000 btu burners, and even using the flame tamer and the very lowest setting, my new Le Creuset tagine has a problem with condensation, just as the reviewer mentioned. However, after reading that this is a sign of the heat being too high, I just turn off the burner for a couple of minutes ... - Messy
Big disappointment here. Seems no matter what you cook, it ends up
spilling all over the stove.Have tried both adding a little water and
none, the same thing happens.Been searching the net and found many
comment on the le creuset that this is a design flaw not found in others.
As far as taste will have to agree with others, if cooked in a reg
le creuset casserole taste the same. Its just a cool looking dish to
have in the kitchen.

- Awesome!
I don't have any experience cooking Moroccan cuisine but have been intrigued by the tagine for a while.I eventually broke down and bought one, and couldn't be happier!!!!First try with my new tagine and received many rave reviews from some picky/brutally honest friends/family!
The tagine was very easy to use, and more amazingly it was SO easy to clean after the meal!(I thought with the sticky ingredients, and almost 2 hour cook time that it would be baked on but it seriously came right off!!!) ... Read More
