The Cherry Pitter features a removable splatter shield that directs juices downward and prevents them from soiling your work area. When not in use, the splatter shield fits inside the front chamber and a lock holds the Cherry Pitter closed for convenient storage. Sturdy, die-cast zinc construction removes pits with ease, and soft, comfortable non-slip handles absorb pressure while you squeeze. The cherry holder is extra large to accommodate Bing and Rainier cherries and has a recessed cup to securely hold smaller varieties when pitting. - Darn fine cherry pitter
I bought this so we could give our son cherries without the whole de-pitting process becoming a mess and annoying.It works fabulously.The pit is cleanly pushed out with little mess.I would recommend this product for its ease of use, simple design, and sturdiness.

This is a whole lot better than my old cherry stoner. Nice idea to put the splash guard on it.I still do it over a big bowl though that juice gets everywhere even with the guard.

This product works very well.I have not had any trouble with the plastic shield like a few other reviewers have.It makes easy work out of a bag of cherries.My son loves helping me as well.

My 2 year old loves cherries, but can't safely spit out the pits himself.Before, I was using a paring knife to cut open each cherry and remove the pit.This is a huge time-saver and mess-reducer. I love love love it.
