Mel Gibson's Oscar-winning 1995 Braveheart is an impassioned epic about William Wallace, the 13th-century Scottish leader of a popular revolt against England's tyrannical Edward I (Patrick McGoohan). Gibson cannily plays Wallace as a man trying to stay out of history's way until events force his hand, an attribute that instantly resonates with several of the actor's best-known roles, especially Mad Max. I think this movie needs to be in everyone's collection. It is a true classic picture..and the soundtrack is as good as the movie.

I received the dvd in a timely manner and in very good condition.The movie is one of me favorites, so I watched it right away and had no issues.

How did I miss this? Finally the Extended Version with Director Mel Gibson's Commentary, which is well done--you feel like he's sitting in the room watching it with you. By that I mean he does not overload you with commentary, you actually get to watch the movie with him. And it's done in with a good dose of filmmaking knowledge, storytelling expertise and his wonderful sense of humor.
The 2nd Disc has a mesmerizing historical documentary of William Wallace and the beautiful country ... Read More
