Thought some of you out there would want to know the following:
Sensitivity: 98dB +/- 3dB at 1kHz
SPL (sound pressure level): 110 db +/- 3db
The maximum recommended noise level for children is 85dB.

- A quiet car/plane ride!!!!
We travel alot with our 2 1/2 year old both by car and plane. She loves to watch movies--but we spent more time pushing the headphones on than watching the movie.We found these and WOW the peace and quiet is amazing!!! They actually fit her little head---she loves them.I've tried them and the sound quality if fine for a child---they don't need surround sound---really it's fine quality!!The headphones are really durable--no worries about them breaking!!

These headphones are so effecient at blocking out noise that I had to holler into the back seat any time I wanted to get my four-year-old's attention during our last 6-hour car trip. These headphones fit little heads beautifully, look adorable, and work great. I highly recommend.
Rating: - Lifesaver for Flights
I am returning to purchase this item a second time for school use. We originally purchased these for an overseas flight and they were a lifesaver. My 6 year old has a habit of turning the volume up on everything electronic. Thankfully these have a volume dial that a parent can easily access. They are well constructed and were comfortable for the hours of Leapster game playing.
Rating: - Don't leave home without them!
These headphones were *perfect* for our 2 year old daughter with growing room to spare.They fit her head perfectly and when I accidently turned up the volume too loud, she told me.We live in Japan, so these were a God-send on the long flight.If you have children and travel, these are the perfect headphones for them (and they're cute, too!)
