- would give it a ZERO if I could
Bought this home theatre system a little over a year ago, but used it for about 10 months (because i was finishing the room I used it in). After about 9 months of use the front display went out.Upon contacting Samsung, they told me it would be $160 to fix that.About 2 weeks later the entire unit stopped working.Unfortunately even though I had only used it for 10 months, since I bought it over a year ago Samsung said there was nothing they could do to replace it.$160 to fix a system that ... - One Major, MAJOR Flaw
This system has pretty nice sound quality, but unfortunately the major flaw that I mentioned is that it devours DVDs and CDs.The 5-Disc table is nice, but the disc holders are unable to keep the disc steady.I constantly have the problem of my discs getting stuck between the opening slide and the top of the system; in the worst case scenario yet, I had to take the thing apart to get one out of the bottom of it.Good sound quality, but the whole eating-the-discs thing not working out for me.

- DOA Times 2
I just bought this system and after setting it up, immediately discovered that with the sound at maximum volume, I could barely hear anything through the speakers. After talking to Samsung tech reps, I learned that the sound card was defective and the unit need to be returned.I also found out that a fellow employee at work experienced the same thing on his new HTX50 a week prior. He returned his and got another which is working for NOW! I've got other Samsung electronics that I like but this ... Read More

- It's Good For Startes, Has A Few Flaws
I have used this for a number of months and it has worked fine. I will start with what I like. For one, it has a five disc DVD changer, which is very nice. The upconvert works well and the HDMI out looks good on my 32" LCD HDTV. There are three things that I find problematic. One, there are only four inputs: headphone jack, USB port, RCA Left/Right, and TOSLINK optical. Before I got the HDTV, I didn't have enough inputs to cover my DVR (TOSLINK), Sirius Radio dock (RCA L/R), and Wii (RCA L/R). Thankfully, ... Read More
