- works great with other Uniden bases
This phone internally is one of the standard Uniden TRU-series 5.8GHz phones, and is thus compatible with a great many Uniden bases.If you already have a compatible Uniden base, you can pair the phone with that, and use the included yellow base solely as a charging bay.It's also compatible with 2-line base stations, I use mine with a TRU9466 base kit.Both lines show up on the handset.

Bought this phone to add onto my existing Uniden 5.8 phone system. The Uniden website said this was a compatible phone to my existing system. I was looking for a phone to survive in the humid environment of my shower & possibly my steam room. (Don't have a pool!) Plus I don't talk on the phone when I am in the Jacuzzi!!! Forgetaboutit!
Happy to say that it works fine for the times that I need it. It is THICKER then the regular phones already in my 5.8system; and it has its own base ... Read More

- extremely short battery life
Within the last month I purchased a new cordless phone, model WX1477. It has never gotten wet. It has never even been close to being wet. I find the length of the battery life to be extremely poor (less than 3 days). My previous cordless, a Panasonic, could go for two (2) weeks without having to worry about returning it to its charging cradle. All the other features of this phone are great. It looks gorgeous. The speakerphone is louder than my Panasonic was. But keeping this Uniden in the charge cradle ... Read More

This phone is great. I have thrown my other phone over 50 feet onto concrete and it still works perfectly. I bought this one because I have 2 lines at my car shop.

This product meets expectations.I have not submerged it in water but it has great reception and I am very happy with all of the features, i.e. phone book that allows you to enter numbers, bring them up, and dial.
