This quality pizza peel can be used to lift and move, cut, and serve your favourite pizza. The peel is light to work with, easy to store, and will not harbour bacteria. A beveled edge makes it easy to slide the peel under the pizza crust. The peel is made from an environmentally friendly natural wood fibre composite, used by chefs and commercial kitchens for over 40 years. The peel's surface can be used as a cutting board -- it won't dull knives -- and is extremely durable and will not stain; it is dishwasher safe and heat resistant to 350°F. As well, the non-porous surface prevents the growth of bacteria and unwanted food odours.
Natural wood colour.
Clean with soap and water. Dishwasher safe. Maintenance free: there is no need to oil the pizza peel. The peel will develop a richer colour over time.

- strong odor emitted from the peel
This pizza peel emits a strong chemical odor when wet. When I removed my pizza from the oven, I left it on the peel to cool and serve at the table. My pizza dough absorbed the odor from the peel, making the meal unpleasant. Otherwise, this peel is a good size and shape, and easy to clean. Unfortunately, I will be returning it and purchasing one made of 100% wood.

Rating: - Resin odor gets on the food!
I bought this pizza peel from another store (Williams-Sonoma) based on the strong reviews I've read.Sadly, I found that whenever the surface gets damp, it starts off-gassing a gluey resin odor.I've washed it several times, to no avail.Even worse, the odor gets on the food!

I was looking for an extra large pizza peel. The Amazon description states that this item is 14x23.
Upon receiving the peel I immediately noticed that it seemed...a bit smallish.I whipped out my trusty measuring tape, and, sure enough, discovered that although the peel does measure 14 inches across, the length of the peel is only 21.5 inches - and that is measuring from the tip of the peel to the edge of the handle.The paddle itself is about 15.5" long before you are way into the ... We loved this item so much we purchased another! We love making home made pizza's. We try to make them weekly. With having two it flows better. while one is in the oven ready to come out, the next one is getting ready to go in. We have our neighbors, family and friends over and have a blast!.
