Rating: - Decent lock with a few quirks
This lock seemed completely ineffective when I first opened it. I had no problems resetting the combination, unlike others. However, it took me several minutes to completely figure out how exactly the lock mechanism works and to get it to properly lock on my laptop. The directions state insert into laptop then turn 90 degrees, spin dials to lock.The trick is that the combination won't change unless you have the lock properly inserted ALL THE WAY IN to the laptop keyhole. Great locking mechanism, the the cable is like a giant slinky cord and can be irritating as it never stretches out and can pull light laptops if stretched out far.

- Don't buy this lock. It's absolutely terrible
I bought this lock from the apple store and it took me 20 minutes to put in on my mac. Once on, i tried to unlock it, and it wouldnt come off. So I spent hours trying to figure out the combination, i think the combination reset itself. SO, it was stuck onto my laptop. I had to call a locksmith who came and drilled it off for 100 dollars. Kensington said theyd refund me up to 80 dollars. Thats the best i can expect, i guess. But i really suggest if you want to get a laptop lock, buy one with the keys. ... Read More
