- terrible waste of money
if i could give this printer less than 1 star, i would.i just replaced the black ink on my printer about a month ago and have printed maybe 100 sheets since then. surprise, surprise, it time to replace it again. there's no way to avoid replacing all the ink cartridges which means i can't print a color page unless the black ink gets replaced. i've sunk enough money into this terrible waste of a printer and will never buy epson again.

- The SUV of all inkjets
This is the wors inkjet printer ever. It uses A LOT of ink. Cartridges are small and I have to replace the black ink every 150 or so pages. I printed about 700 pages so far and printer leaves horizontal gaps every 3/4 inch. Cleaning printing head helps but not for long and it uses more ink. You can't print B&W or text only if any of the color cartridges are empty.
Do not buy this printer. I'm looking for a color laser printer now.

- Trust me, you do not want to buy this printer
i got this printer for free as i was buying my pc and after using it for a few months and i would have to say it was not worth its cost. i only use it to print documents in b&w but yet somehow my color ink gets used up quick. Once you run out of any color ink the printer will not print at all. no matter what. when you go to buy the color ink, although you insert them separately, they're sold in a pack. honestly, this printer is a joke. i have an hp printer from seven years ago and its much better. ... - Epson's ink monopoloy is going to cost them
Can I have my old dot matrix back? This is the worst printer I have ever owned in my life.At least with the last Epson I had (the Stylus CX5400) I could get a good deal on generic ink online & it lasted. That printer finally gave out, & they don't make the 5400 anymore. So I'm stuck with some ink.Oh well.I get the cheapest Epson I can find that is all-in-one like the 5400 & they've changed the ink cartridge. So I find some more generic ink online, but it only uses 1/3 of the cartridge before ...
