I've used earlier versions of Microsoft Money and this version is about the same.It's a convenient way to track financial and spending activities.
Rating: - Expires after one year - Unusable Bloatware
I purchased this thinking that I could use it to enhance my banking record keeping.

After several DAYS of trying to get this set up to work with online banking, I had to give up.

This software appears to be a cooperative effort between Microsoft and various banks. About half of this software is advertising for online services for a fee.

The other half of the software is unusable. I estimate it would take a week to train one of my secretaries or staff to use ... Read More
Rating: - Balanced Checkbook to the penny since August 2006
It's true, and I attribute it (mostly) to this software.The Bills Summary and Cash Flow features work perfectly together to show you your projected account situation at 2 weeks, 1 month, 90 days, 12 months or whatever you choose, and you can also add in different scenarios to see if you can afford to spend a certain amount at a certain date.It even analyzes your spending and trends in certain categories like Groceries and Household spending so you can accurately plan for the future.I can't imagine ... Rating: - Buggy, buggy, buggy, do frequent backups!
I really liked the previous version of Money (2006) but this is horrible.Budgeting bugs, cash flow bugs, category bugs, and then there are the exceptions it throws.It's corrupted my money file twice now (it did manage to recover it one of those times).I've got budget items that used to be based on scheduled bills which I've deleted but they still show up in its calculations, etc, etc, etc.Use Windows Explorer to make a copy of your money file every time you edit it.

I was miffed when I was forced to upgrade to continue receiving online updates. I really only bought this software because of the lack of alternatives.

Now it refuses to take online updates, the only real reason for having it in the first place.

Thanks for wasting my time.
