- Very Poor Blender
Who doesn't love Jack LaLanne?Unfortunately, as much as I wanted this one-third-of-the-price version of the Vita-Mix Blender to be equal in it's value to my kitchen and my health, there is simply no comparison.Here are my problems with the Jack LaLanne blender:
1)Turning knob and associated ball bearing fall off repeatedly.This being on THREE blender bases they have sent me, the second two to replace the first.I finally decided to forget it and just deal with turning the metal projection ... Read More

Dont get me wrong the vitamix is still on my want list. However for the money this machine is fantastic. Ive been using this blender for over six months. I make smoothies everyday..make nut butters, nut milks, pack it with frozen fruit and no lumps whatsoever. I was nervous at first because a few people said they had leaks but so far so good..no problems..i love it! Its a great starter blender for those starting raw or are budget conscience.

2 things. Don't grind dificult things in this grinder. Do not grind salt and do not make nut butters. It seemed to do fine with raw peanuts (although I had to be very strategic about them). But it seems like sunflowers are just too much. I just got it back from breaking down on me and it's broken again, a few days later. I hate this blender! I don't wanna be fully unfair it's good for normal stuff and grain flours (oats & millet). But forget the heavy duty stuff. This is NOT a heavy duty blender. NO nut ... Read More
Rating: - Bearing failed
The picture bearings failed after six months of normal (less than once a day) use. This blender has a lot of power, but the picture bearing are inferior for this kind of speed.
Rating: - only works for about 2 months. company does not back it's cannister.
The bearings are super cheap and will rust out, throwing the contents all over the kitchen. the company will not sell just the container so you have to buy a whole new machine. don't waste you hard earned money. I ended up having to just buy the vitamix like i should have in the first place.
