I read through the reviews, and all I can think is that sometimes people forget that make up is different on everyone, depending on your skin tone, coloring and oiliness.That being said, I tried it at the counter before I bought it.Using the famous half face test, When used under make up, there is a definite difference.My make up was smoother looking on the side with "That Gal".And it doesn't feel heavy at all, actually, it just feels like a nice light moisturizer.Since then, I've used ... - Great Primer and Brightener
I love this product, not only does it keep my foundation, powder, and blush from getting chalky or smearing, but it really brightens dry skin without making it feel oily (a big problem for me). It adds a really subtle glow that just makes you look more awake and fresh.
That being said this is certainly a product for the fair skinned. I let my hispanic friend use it and it didn't do much except keep her makeup in place.

For a wonderful tinted moisturizer Benefit Cosmetics "That Gal" is great! It brightens without using makeup!!

I don't like the look of a lot of foundation and like the feel even less.I tried That Gal at the Benefit counter at the mall and fell for it.It's very sheer and lightly pink.I use it all over my face but a little really goes a long way.It does smooth over pores and fine lines without being cakey.Oddly, whenever I first put it on it seems like nothing happened at all.But after a few moments I notice that my skin looks very even and does have a nice glow and light sheen without looking glossy. ... This product did absolutely nothing for me... i wore it a couple of times and just gave it away...don't waste your money on it!!
