Product Description:
The Mini-Prep® Plus is the perfect little helper for small food preparation, from chopping herbs or bread crumbs, to finely grinding hard cheese. Its versatility lies in the special Auto Reversing Smart Blade™, which makes it easier to process both soft and hard foods. Designed in Italy with the same look as Cuisinart's® newly launched PowerPrep Plus™, the Mini-Prep Plus' sleek touch pad controls afford easy cleaning and an elegant look. And despite its space-saving size, it's more powerful than other choppers. So now you can prepare small quantities of food faster and more efficiently than ever before.
Amazon.com Review:
This little 250-watt workhorse comes in handy when a full-size food processor is unnecessary. The 3-cup work bowl is just right for making pesto or a salad dressing, and two receptacles in the lid have pinholes for one or two oils to stream into the bowl while the processor is blending a perfect emulsion. It's also ideal for chopping and grinding. Pressing the "chop" button deploys the sharp edge of Cuisinart's patented reversible blade to chop onions, herbs, or bread crumbs. Pressing the "grind" button whirls the blade in the other direction so its blunt side can grind nuts, coffee beans, or cheese. Compact at just 9 inches high and lightweight (it has a plastic body), the Mini Prep Plus can be tucked away in a cabinet, and the little spatula accompanying it goes into a drawer. It carries an 18-month warranty against defects. The plastic work bowl and lid are dishwasher-safe, but the stainless-steel blade should be hand washed to protect its edges. --Fred Brack

- useful and a good price
I got this as an adjunct to my larger food processor. I don't like clutter on the kitchen counters, and it's easy to take this in and out of the cabinets for quick chopping. I've used it to chop garlic, onions, make chutney, guacamole and salsa. It's definitely not as heavy duty as the large machine but works well for small, quick tasks.

- Great product for a good price
I thought this was a perfect way to chop up food for recipes, and to chop up herbs to put into my dog's food. And it is!!! cleanup us easy too...but DEFINITELY be careful of touching those blades, which I did twice already. It's small enough to not take up the whole counter, too!

- Sadly not worth it
I have an all pink theme to my kitchen and happened to need a new smallo food chopper/processor so my mom got me it for my birthday.I'm sad that it wasn't worth her money spent. The first time I used it, it kept getting stuck (I was chopping a scant 1/4 C of onions), the second time it leaked everywhere, and the third time it burnt out and stopped working (I was mixing a few berries into a 1/2 C of yogurt). My mom took it back and I went and purchased a cheap no-name brand food processor- still ... - Cute But Leaks- I don't recommend it
At first I wrote a good review about this product, but sadly I had to delete it.
The first time I used it it was fine, but the second time was not so great. It started to leak all over, from the bottom, and the top. I checked to make sure everything was in place, and it was. So this processor is not dependable, at least the one I got.
I am returning it-
Also, I didn't realize how small it is.It is only good for small things, such as sauces. If you want to make anything else get a ... Read More

- Great for little jobs
This is a great food processor for small jobs. I use mine for onions primarily because my eyes can't take them. You still have to cut food up into manageable pieces but does a good job. Love the color of course.
