This flat iron works wonders on my now short hair. I have semi thick hair that is pretty hard to keep in curls and keep straightened with out a lot of smoothing product. I put a bit of the smoothing product in my hair and then tried to use it when my hair was wet...honestly i should have known better. Blow drying my hair completely (no matter how much product or how good a product i use) always makes my hair "poofy" so, when i tried to straighten it while it was wet..guess what happend?!

After reading the mixed reviews I was hesitant to buy this flat iron, but in the end I figured anything had to be better than my old $40 ceramic flat iron that only has an on/off switch. And this one was only $15.99.
I am very satisfied with this tourmaline ceramic flat iron (and very very happy I didn't waste my money on a $100+ CHI).There are several settings 1-20, in increments of 5.I have super curly fine hair and use the 10 setting. I could probably use an even lower setting and ... Read More

I definitely love this flat iron. I have spent more than $75 on other straighteners and they just don't work as good--for this price, you really can't go wrong.I love the vent holes; they prevent "steam burn" and yes, this really does heat up to 400 in 30 seconds. I have thick but fine hair that has a slight wave to it & this straightener seems to be the only one to completely straighten out the wave.I love it!

I spent a great deal of time and effort trying to find an affordable hot iron that could handle my daughters extremely frizzy hair. I spent much more money on an iron that I was told was superior to most and it did ok but I decided to buy this iron when it was on a very good sale and I have to tell you that it works just as well, if not better than the very expensive one I had bought. I am VERY pleased with this flat iron.
