- Sturdy, Generous-Sized and Handsome
This kettle is as good as every other Le Creuset product I've ever owned.It is handsome with a simple design and a slightly ombred beige-to-ivory enamel exterior.The kettle itself is large so you can fill it with enough water to make a big pot of tea or a full container of coffee (I use it to boil water for a Chemex coffee maker) without it sputtering and boiling over.The handle doesn't get too hot to touch and the whistle gets your attention without giving you a headache.In other words, ... - No spill-free pour with this LeCreuset
Product shipped promptly and arrived in good condition.Teapot looks nice on the stove..... unfortunately I can't seem to get a spill-free pour from it after it has boiled.You have to be careful not to fill too much water before heating or it will build up pressure and spurt hot water while you pour...

I read a couple of reviews after I bought this. I never burned myself removing the removable spout, however. I took the kettle off the heat first, as soon as it whistled and then took off the spout. Nice shape. Nice handle that can be turned.Good size. But remove the lid so it can dry quickly inside. Just leaving the top ajar does not dry it quickly enough and it is better not to keep it damp inside. I really like this kettle.

Love the color.Looks nice on the stove.So far seems to be working well.Some concerns about the reviews I've read re. rusting inside.It's not realistic to leave it empty on the stove...would be concerned about scorching if the burner was accidentally left on.In any case, at this point I am very happy w/the product.

Pretty? Yes.No sharp edges? Yes.Whistle?No!!!The stopper part with the whistle does not seat firmly on the spout.The lid has a notched part that I guess allows steam to escape. I think the combination of no pressure from leaky stopper and lid means NO WHISTLE.Returning this gift as completely useless. First Le Creuset purchase too.Our old Kamenstein/cow kettle worked great until the hard water ate away part of the interior(our fault).
