- Good earphones, but watch for ear infections.
I found these headphones to have great sound quality, but you need to be aware that they are veritable ear infection vectors. I used these nonstop for a few months, and one day I got a cystic pseudomonas infection in my outer ear. Can I unambiguously attribute this to my earphones? - excellent customer service from shure
I bought SCL2 about 6 months ago and had a bit of problem with my right ear bud.I was loving this unit with it's excellent noise isolation and great sound quality.I wasn't too surprised with the problem because it had happened to my other ear buds before. I look up on Shure's website on its manufacturer's warranty policy (1 year for this unit).I sent it back with regular USPS insured mailed with a proof of purchase reprinted from Amazon, and a simple form you can download from Shure. And guess ... - Quality buds
Dog chewed up my last Shure buds. The newer version has a more flexible cord. That was my only gripe about the product and it has been fixed.

- A little Tinny
The sound definitely drops the bass significantly and the comfort is mediocre at best. I found the form fitting foam sleeves to work best for me, but redesigning the sleeves and and plastic nozzle might be a good idea for shure. shortening the nozzle would eliminate the wax guard problem as well as enable better fitting, more isolating sleeves.
i gave it a three, but I was lenient.
