I purchased the cordless Waterpik about 6 months ago and have used it every day.I really miss my old corded model for the following reasons;
1. The brass contacts appear to be corroded and the power from the unit is weak making the stream of water slow and ineffective. If you over fill the container, the water drips into the hole containing the brass contacts.When you plug the cord in you cannot help but to plug it in a receptacle fill of water.

im sorry i spent the money on this silly contraption.the resaon being when u tilt the water pik it doesnt work,hard to get to the bottom of the teeth,and especially the bottom front.save ur money and go for the electric one.

Every flaw you've read about is true.The water reservoir runs out in about 15 seconds.This isn't even enough time to do one part of your mouth.The pick itself rattles around and ends up pointing in every direction imaginable.This makes it impossible to use the device to clean your teeth and gums.Water ends up shooting everywhere.You also have ... The water jet was a gift for my husband.He is a no-frills man who doesn't care to bother with "stuff" that is extra in the morning.He has been using the water jet every day and feels it is really helping his gum issue.

The unit is attractive looking and fits nicely in the hand, but that's the end of the good news. I agree with others about the difficulty controlling the head. The big problem, however, is the battery. After my frist unit died at 6 weeks, I contacted the company through their web site. They promptly sent a replacement. It lasted 8 weeks. I'm currently looking for a differentbrand.
