- Very disappointed with this printer
I am very disappointed with this printer for the following reasons:
1. Replacement ink is expensive and does not last long.
2. I am held hostage to replace the ink - the printer will stop ALL printing if the cartridge is not replaced in a timely manner.
3. Constant reminders to replace the ink, must press the OK button BEFORE the page will print - I have better things to do than baby-sit my printer.
4. Will not print in black ink only - so there is no way to conserve ... Read More

Real fast delivery, great price, and picture quality.I don't use photo shops any more.It is more expensive for single prints but I don't have to wait.I do a lot of 8.5" X 11" prints for photo albums and they look photo shop quality.

Save your money.The HP C6280 does good work, but it has this annoying feature that it has to go through every now and then, especially when you need to print something.The sales rep told me it pressurizes the ink cartridges or something like that, in order to recycle.It sounds like a centrifuge.
But it isn't programmed to do it very often when it's not in use, but instead, it does it immediately when you hit the print button, or if you have a slight delay between your first print ... Read More

After having years of good HP printers, this one is a "dud".Paper jams are fairly common and, even more frustrating, it will often go into a "calibration routine" that lasts for several minutes when you try to print something.The scanner/copier is decent but not great as to speed and quality.Color photo printing off of an SD card is very good but not great.Software to scan and save to file is OK but the old Epson 1200U and its software seemed to work better.Ink usage is about what I'd expect ... I purchased this printer for Christmas 07 based on a store demo.The photo printing was fantastic and the network scanning was a feature I loved.So I bought one and was really happy for about 11 1/2 months after dealing with some of the CPU and computer slowdown issues talked about by other reviewers.Disabling some of the HP services (I foolishly just did a complete install of the "driver" package which contained much more than just drives) fixed those problems.
